City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Palazzo Reale and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi are in your itinerary. You'll explore and learn at Museo Egizio and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, walk around Parco del Valentino, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

To see other places to visit, reviews, more things to do, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin trip itinerary tool.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 6°C in January, and nighttime lows around 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
