City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone and Palazzo Reale are in your itinerary. You'll explore and learn at Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi), Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, contemplate the long history of Basilica of Superga, view the masterpieces at Reggia di Venaria Reale, and browse the fresh offerings at Mercato Centrale Torino.

For reviews, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Turin journey builder site.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. January in Turin sees daily highs of 6°C and lows of 1°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
