City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Egizio and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Your inner history buff will appreciate Reggia di Venaria Reale and Palazzo Reale. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Azienda Agricola But di Meistro Flavio (in Costigliole d'Asti), Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco) and Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, steep yourself in history at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sacra di San Michele.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May in Turin, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
