City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do your shopping at Via Roma and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Castello di Issogne and Castello di Serralunga d'Alba. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre), Criptoportico Forense (in Aosta) and River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle). And it doesn't end there: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, take an in-depth tour of Museo Egizio, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, and step into the grandiose world of Castello di Verres.

To see other places to visit, maps, reviews, and other tourist information, read Turin trip itinerary planning website.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in May, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
