City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Galleria Sabauda and Musei Reali. Escape the urban bustle at Torgnon and Colline di Torino. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Aosta (Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso & Criptoportico Forense) and Castello di Issogne (in Issogne). There's much more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Gran Madre di Dio, don't miss a visit to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, get engrossed in the history at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, and take a stroll through Via Roma.

To find where to stay, traveler tips, more things to do, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 5°C in February, and nighttime lows around 0°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
