City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Visiting Cervino Breuil-Cervinia Ski Area and Spiaggia Miami will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato) and Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, get great views at Basilica of Superga, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and contemplate the long history of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

To find other places to visit, where to stay, maps, and more tourist information, read Turin online route maker.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 50°F, while at night they dip to 40°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
