A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Visiting Pila and Vialattea will get you outdoors. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Via Roma and Salumificio Maison Bertolin. When in Turin, make a side trip to see Ricetto di Candelo in Candelo, approximately 1h 20 min away. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Quadrilatero Romano, see the interesting displays at National Cinema Museum, steep yourself in history at Basilica di Superga, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Pietro Micca.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March in Turin, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 7°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
