City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone and Basilica of Superga will appeal to history buffs. Get a sense of the local culture at Museo Egizio and Palazzo Reale. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato), Zoom Torino (in Cumiana) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Morgex). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, do a tasting at Azienda Agricola But di Meistro Flavio, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and admire the striking features of Reggia di Venaria Reale.

For ratings, photos, traveler tips, and other tourist information, refer to the Turin itinerary builder website.

If you are flying in from France, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
