City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Museo Egizio and Palazzo Reale. Popular historic sites such as Basilica of Superga and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone are in your itinerary. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino), Lake Orta (in Orta San Giulio) and Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema and make a trip to Piazza Castello.

For photos, traveler tips, where to stay, and more tourist information, read Turin day trip website.

If you are flying in from Malta, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In January, daytime highs in Turin are 6°C, while nighttime lows are 1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
