City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Ricetto di Candelo. Do your shopping at Salumificio Maison Bertolin and Via Roma. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa), Vicolungo The Style Outlets (in Vicolungo) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). And it doesn't end there: explore the historical opulence of Castello Reale di Sarre, steep yourself in history at Basilica of Superga, identify plant and animal life at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, and delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 11°C in November, and nighttime lows around 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
