City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Juventus Museum and Museum of the Risorgimento. Castello di Issogne and Castello Reale di Sarre are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Aosta (Criptoportico Forense, Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, &more), Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Castello di Verres, get engrossed in the history at Armeria Reale, tour the pleasant surroundings at Rifugio Vittorio Sella, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice.
