City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Juventus Museum and Museum of the Risorgimento. Castello di Issogne and Castello di Verres are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre), Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). Next up on the itinerary: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, tour the pleasant surroundings at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706.
