City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Head to Reggia di Venaria Reale and Serravalle Designer Outletfor some retail therapy. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, pause for some serene contemplation at Parrocchia San Giovanni, get great views at Basilica of Superga, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
