City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Reggia di Venaria Reale and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone. Appreciate the collections at Museo Egizio and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, make a trip to Basilica of Superga, and contemplate the long history of Palazzo Reale.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in October, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
