A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Reggia di Venaria Reale and Galleria Sabauda will appeal to museum buffs. Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Basilica of Superga. Step out of Turin to go to Serravalle Scrivia and see Serravalle Designer Outlet, which is approximately 1h 55 min away. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Egyptian Museum of Turin, see the interesting displays at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama), don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March in Turin, expect temperatures between 50°F during the day and 40°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
