City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Castello di Issogne and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis. Step off the beaten path and head to Castello e Parco di Masino and Criptoportico Forense. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello di Verres (in Verres), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso (in Aosta). The adventure continues: explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta, get great views at Basilica of Superga, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Egizio.

To find where to stay, traveler tips, other places to visit, and tourist information, use the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to 76°F, and evening lows to 64°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
