City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Museo Egizio and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino), Aosta (Teatro Romano & Porta Praetoria) and Castello di Fenis (in Fenis). There's still lots to do: view the masterpieces at Galleria Sabauda, make a trip to Palazzo Reale Di Torino, get great views at Basilica of Superga, and steep yourself in history at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

For more things to do, ratings, photos, and other tourist information, refer to the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July in Turin, expect temperatures between 78°F during the day and 65°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
