City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Museo Egizio and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello di Fenis (in Fenis), Aosta (Teatro Romano & Porta Pretoria) and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi). There's lots more to do: view the masterpieces at Galleria Sabauda, make a trip to Piazza Castello, walk around Parco del Valentino, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July, daytime highs in Turin are 78°F, while nighttime lows are 65°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
