City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone are in your itinerary. Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour), Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino) and Forte di Bard (in Bard). And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, take in the exciting artwork at Reggia di Venaria Reale, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

To find ratings, maps, where to stay, and other tourist information, read Turin online journey planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, plan for daily highs up to 58°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
