City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castello e Parco di Masino and Museo del Carcere Le Nuove. Get some cultural insight at Castello della Manta and Musei Reali. Venture out of the city with trips to Chiesa dei Ss. Pietro e Giorgio (in Rosazza), Castello di Issogne (in Issogne) and Castello di Verres (in Verres). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Il Bucintoro dei Savoia, delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sacro Monte, and step into the grandiose world of Castello Reale di Sarre.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, daytime highs in Turin are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
