City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castello di Issogne and Musei Reali. Get some cultural insight at Castello e Parco di Masino and Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Verres (in Verres), Sacro Monte (in Varallo) and Chiesa dei Ss. Pietro e Giorgio (in Rosazza). The adventure continues: explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta, delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, examine the collection at Il Bucintoro dei Savoia, and get engrossed in the history at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, daytime highs in Turin are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
