City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castello e Parco di Masino and Musei Reali. Get some cultural insight at Castello della Manta and Sacro Monte. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Issogne (in Issogne), Castello di Verres (in Verres) and Chiesa dei Ss. Pietro e Giorgio (in Rosazza). And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at Il Bucintoro dei Savoia, explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense, get engrossed in the history at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, and step into the grandiose world of Castello Reale di Sarre.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
