City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and MAO - Museo d'Arte Orientale. Ricetto di Candelo and Castello di Verres will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi), Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). The adventure continues: step into the grandiose world of Castello e Parco di Masino, see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum, explore the galleries of Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706.

To see maps, photos, more things to do, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin online road trip planner.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
