A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Visit Castello della Manta and Criptoportico Forense for their historical value. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative and Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello e Parco di Masino (in Caravino), Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art (in Rivoli) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). There's lots more to do: view the masterpieces at Galleria Sabauda, step into the grandiose world of Castello di Verres, take an in-depth tour of Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, and hit the slopes at Via Lattea.
