A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Castello di Issogne. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Aosta (Porta Pretoria & Criptoportico Forense) and River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle). And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, walk around Parco del Valentino, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

If you are flying in from Malta, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to °C, and evening lows to °C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
