A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Venture out of the city with trips to Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco) and Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, get great views at Basilica of Superga, and make a trip to Piazza Castello.

To see where to stay and tourist information, you can read our Turin travel planner.

If you are flying in from Japan, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 26°C in June, and nighttime lows around 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
