There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at St. Peter's Basilica, explore the world behind art at Galleria Borghese, don't miss a visit to Piazza Navona, and steep yourself in history at Colosseum.

Fashion Capital of World

In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Milan: Tempio Civico della Beata Vergine Incoronata (in Lodi), Verona (Museo di Castelvecchio, Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, &more) and La Citta Alta (in Bergamo). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Duomo di Milano, get engrossed in the history at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, stroll the grounds of Monumental Cemetery, and browse the different shops at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
