33 days in Paris, Lyon & Nice Itinerary

A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.

Go for a jaunt from Paris to Versailles to see Palace of Versailles about 48 minutes away. Bangkok, Thailand to Paris is an approximately 15-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Indochina Time to Central European Standard Time is minus 6 hours. Plan for much colder temperatures traveling from Bangkok in December, with highs in Paris at 9°C and lows at 3°C. On the 2nd (Sat), you'll travel to Lyon.

Take a train from Paris to Lyon in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or fly; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 9°C in January, and nighttime lows around 1°C. You'll set off for Nice on the 11th (Mon).

Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.

Explore Nice's surroundings by going to La Croisette (in Cannes) and Antibes (Le Sentier du Littoral, Cap d'Antibes & Garoupe Lighthouse (Phare de la Garoupe)). Getting from Lyon to Nice by flight takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a train. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Lyon in January, with highs in Nice at 15°C and lows at 7°C. On the 20th (Wed), you're off to home.
