In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Tue): step into the grandiose world of Castello Sforzesco. Keep things going the next day: explore the different monuments and memorials at Monumental Cemetery, take an in-depth tour of Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano, and finally make a trip to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Step out of Verona to go to Garda and see Lago di Garda, which is approximately 1h 20 min away.
