Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Piazza San Marco and Basilica di San Marco. Get some cultural insight at Doge's Palace and Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Get out of town with these interesting Venice side-trips: Padua (Scrovegni Chapel & Basilica of St. Anthony). Often referred to as the gem of the Amalfi Coast, Positano remains one of southern Italy's most sought-after vacation locales, thanks to its hillside location and picturesque, pastel buildings.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Ceramiche Casola and Ceramiche d'Arte Carmela. Step out of the city life by going to Fornillo and Lido Capo di Conca.
