City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
For shopping fun, head to Reggia di Venaria Reale or Mercato Centrale Torino. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Cantina del Glicine (in Neive) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's much more to do: get great views at Basilica of Superga, don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello, see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

For where to stay, reviews, maps, and other tourist information, refer to the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from Malta, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 17°C, while at night they dip to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
