City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Visit Reggia di Venaria Reale and Sacra di San Michele for their historical value. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Mercato Centrale Torino and Clementine. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato) and Azienda Agricola But di Meistro Flavio (in Costigliole d'Asti). There's still lots to do: take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga, see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo.

To find photos, maps, where to stay, and tourist information, refer to the Turin trip maker site.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May in Turin, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
