City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Castello e Parco di Masino and Via Lattea. Visit Castello della Manta and Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice for their historical value. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda (in Staffarda) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). There's more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Gran Madre di Dio.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March in Turin, expect temperatures between 50°F during the day and 40°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
