City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Visit Reggia di Venaria Reale and Basilica of Superga for their historical value. Do your shopping at Galleria Sabauda and Calzature Kur & Kamina. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour), Chiesa della Madonna della Neve (in Monforte d'Alba) and Castello della Manta (in Manta). There's lots more to do: stroll around Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Zoom Torino, and test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms.

For maps, reviews, other places to visit, and tourist information, use the Turin day trip planning site.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 17°C, while at night they dip to 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
