Turin— 2 nights
City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Start off your visit on the 30th (Sat): take an in-depth tour of Museum of the Risorgimento, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, then contemplate the long history of Ricetto di Candelo, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario di Oropa. On the next day, examine the collection at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama), then admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, then get engrossed in the history at Museo Pietro Micca, and finally get engrossed in the history at Armeria Reale.
For where to stay, other places to visit, and other tourist information, you can read our Turin trip planner.
In December, plan for daily highs up to 8°C, and evening lows to 3°C. You will have some time to spend on the 1st (Mon) before leaving for home.
