City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Kids will enjoy Room Escape Games and Piazza Castello. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Colline di Torino and Yes Snowboard & Ski School. Change things up with a short trip to Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso in Aosta (about 1h 20 min away). Next up on the itinerary: explore the world behind art at Museo Egizio, admire the natural beauty at Parco del Valentino, contemplate the long history of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

To find ratings, more things to do, reviews, and more tourist information, go to the Turin trip itinerary builder site.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. January in Turin sees daily highs of 6°C and lows of 1°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
