City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Colline di Torino and Castello della Manta. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello di Verres (in Verres), Castello e Parco di Masino (in Caravino) and Castello di Issogne (in Issogne). There's lots more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, steep yourself in history at Villa della Regina, and hike along Rifugio Vittorio Sella.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. June in Turin sees daily highs of 73°F and lows of 60°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
