City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini and Castello e Parco di Masino. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Centro Storico (in Alba), Via Lattea (in Sauze d'Oulx) and Castello della Manta (in Manta). Next up on the itinerary: cruise along Colline di Torino, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, admire the striking features of Villa della Regina, and see the interesting displays at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove.

To see traveler tips, more things to do, ratings, and tourist information, read Turin route maker site.

If you are flying in from Ireland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in April, and nighttime lows around 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
