City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini and Colline di Torino. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello e Parco di Masino (in Caravino), Via Lattea (in Sauze d'Oulx) and Castello della Manta (in Manta). There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, admire the striking features of Villa della Regina, browse the fresh offerings at Mercato Centrale Torino, and don't miss a visit to Centro Storico.

If you are flying in from Ireland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in April, and nighttime lows around 9°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
