City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini and Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Verres (in Verres), Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo) and Castello di Issogne (in Issogne). There's still lots to do: hike along Colline di Torino, make a trip to Villa della Regina, and step into the grandiose world of Castello della Manta.

To find maps and other tourist information, read Turin driving holiday website.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
