City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Appreciate the collections at Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Explore hidden gems such as Castello di Issogne and Castello di Verres. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Ricetto di Candelo (in Candelo), Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). Next up on the itinerary: explore the world behind art at Museo Egizio, get a taste of the local shopping with Via Roma, and get engrossed in the history at Armeria Reale.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In December, daytime highs in Turin are 8°C, while nighttime lows are 3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
