City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Reggia di Venaria Reale and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone are in your itinerary. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Museo Egizio. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: WiMu - Museo del Vino a Barolo (in Barolo) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica of Superga, view the masterpieces at Mostra Steve Mc Curry, see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, and contemplate the long history of Palazzo Reale.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May in Turin, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
