City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Reggia di Venaria Reale and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone are in your itinerary. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and WiMu - Museo del Vino a Barolo. Go for a jaunt from Turin to Grinzane Cavour to see Castello di Grinzane Cavour about 1h 15 min away. There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica of Superga, admire the striking features of Palazzo Reale, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and shop like a local with Mostra Steve Mc Curry.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May in Turin, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
