A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Basilica of Superga are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Reggia di Venaria Reale and Palazzo Reale will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello della Manta (in Manta) and Germano (in Barolo). There's lots more to do: explore the world behind art at Egyptian Museum of Turin, explore and take pictures at Juventus Stadium, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo.

In May, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
