City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore and learn at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove and Museo Egizio. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Castello della Manta and Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda. Step out of Turin with an excursion to Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni in Barolo--about 1h 10 min away. And it doesn't end there: admire the masterpieces at Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, take a stroll through Quadrilatero Romano, and get a taste of the local shopping with Via Roma.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 69°F, while at night they dip to 58°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
