City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore and learn at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove and Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Castello della Manta and Quadrilatero Romano. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda (in Staffarda) and Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, take a stroll through Via Roma, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Egizio.

To see where to stay, more things to do, other places to visit, and other tourist information, read Turin tour itinerary planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September in Turin, expect temperatures between 69°F during the day and 58°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
