A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get some cultural insight at Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Reggia di Venaria Reale and Basilica of Superga will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco) and Zoom Torino (in Cumiana). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and pick up some local products at Mercato Centrale Torino.

To find maps, ratings, other places to visit, and tourist information, refer to the Turin online trip maker.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 69°F, and evening lows to 58°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.
