City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Reggia di Venaria Reale and Basilica of Superga will appeal to history buffs. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Venture out of the city with trips to Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, browse the fresh offerings at Mercato Centrale Torino, admire the striking features of Palazzo Reale, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Parrocchia San Giovanni.

If you are flying in from Russia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. March in Turin sees daily highs of 11°C and lows of 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
