City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Do your shopping at Via Roma and Galleria Sabauda. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's much more to do: get great views at Basilica of Superga, admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

For other places to visit, ratings, photos, and other tourist information, use the Turin day trip planning site.

If you are flying in from Malta, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, daytime highs in Turin are 17°C, while nighttime lows are 9°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
