City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step out of the city life by going to Colline di Torino and Via Lattea. Castello di Issogne and Castello di Verres are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with a short trip to Castello e Parco di Masino in Caravino (about 58 minutes away). There's much more to do: make a trip to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, steep yourself in history at Basilica of Superga, take a stroll through Via Roma, and visit Quadrilatero Romano.

To find other places to visit, reviews, photos, and tourist information, go to the Turin vacation builder.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
