City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore and learn at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Get a sense of the local culture at Museo Egizio and Basilica of Superga. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta), Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale) and Zoom Torino (in Cumiana). There's more to do: don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello.

For more things to do, other places to visit, photos, and more tourist information, go to the Turin trip itinerary site.

If you are flying in from France, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. January in Turin sees daily highs of 6°C and lows of 1°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
