City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
On the 10th (Mon), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Gran Madre di Dio. On the 11th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: step into the grandiose world of Castello della Manta, pause for some serene contemplation at Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda, and then step into the grandiose world of Castello e Parco di Masino.

To find where to stay, other places to visit, reviews, and tourist information, go to the Turin day trip planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 59°F in April, and nighttime lows around 47°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
