City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema are good opportunities to explore the local culture. For shopping fun, head to Reggia di Venaria Reale or Mondovicino Outlet Village. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino) and Clementine (in Pinerolo). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica of Superga, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and browse the fresh offerings at Mercato Centrale Torino.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in October, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) so you can travel back home.
