City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museo Egizio and Reggia di Venaria Reale are good opportunities to explore the local culture. For shopping fun, head to Mercato Centrale Torino or Mondovicino Outlet Village. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Clementine (in Pinerolo) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

To find maps, reviews, photos, and other tourist information, you can read our Turin trip site.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) so you can travel back home.
