City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Museo Egizio. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Reggia di Venaria Reale and Sacra di San Michele. Go for a jaunt from Turin to Stupinigi to see Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi about 34 minutes away. There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Basilica of Superga, admire the striking features of Palazzo Reale, walk around Parco del Valentino, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

To see photos, more things to do, traveler tips, and more tourist information, use the Turin road trip website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May in Turin, expect temperatures between 64°F during the day and 51°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
