City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Basilica of Superga and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino) and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi). There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of Museo Egizio, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale.

To see photos, more things to do, traveler tips, and more tourist information, use the Turin road trip website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May in Turin, expect temperatures between 64°F during the day and 51°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
