City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Museo Egizio. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Reggia di Venaria Reale and Palazzo Reale Di Torino. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino) and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi). And it doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of Basilica of Superga, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 64°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
