City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Reggia di Venaria Reale and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Get a sense of the local culture at Forte di Bard and Basilica of Superga. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). And it doesn't end there: admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, steep yourself in history at Palazzo Reale, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema.

To see reviews, more things to do, ratings, and tourist information, refer to the Turin day trip planning app.

If you are flying in from France, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, daytime highs in Turin are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
