City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Appreciate the collections at The Little Wild Gallery and Forte di Bard. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Sacra di San Michele. Venture out of the city with trips to Vicolungo The Style Outlets (in Vicolungo), Per Tutti I Gusti (in Barbaresco) and Cherasco (Riccardi Il Cioccolato di Riccardi Mauro & Barbero). There's more to do: stop by Giolito Cheese.

For reviews, other places to visit, photos, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in October, and nighttime lows around 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
