City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get some historical perspective at Castello di Issogne and Castello di Verres. Explore hidden gems such as Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini and Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Pont-Saint-Martin (in Pont-Saint-Martin), Cattedrale di Sant'Evasio (Duomo di Casale Monferrato) (in Casale Monferrato) and Vercelli (Chiesa di San Cristoforo & Basilica di Sant'Andrea). There's much more to do: explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta, see the interesting displays at Il Bucintoro dei Savoia, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Parrocchia S. Maurizio.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July, daytime highs in Turin are 30°C, while nighttime lows are 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
